Midweek Motivation || Taking on too much at once!

Hey Friends,

So it's that time of year! Everybody's got their new years resolutions & they're all out hustling, girlbossing and going hell for leather to make this year better than last year.

Recently I was talking to a close friend about my plans for 2017 & while I was telling her all the things I wanted to achieve she said something very interesting to me. She said "Whatever you do don't try to take on everything at once. Nothing can be perfect over night. Its all the little things & little decisions you make everyday that work towards the greater goal!"

This really stuck with me! She was right. I have a tendency to get an idea into my head, attack it and then either get bored, start to feel unmotivated or undefeated with no stamina or will to keep going. This combined with bouts of anxiety sometimes I'm left at a standstill, especially if things are not going great in my personal life. Generally in these times I tend to hide and leave all thoughts of goals or sometimes even blogging on the back burner with no will to carry on for a while.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying I have no will to carry on with life or anything dark like that but I just feel like I go into survival mode which means I don't feel like I have the strength to attack life with the force it needs to get goals accomplished.

I have taken note of these words and I really feel like this is something I want to do in 2017. Really think about my goals and plan properly so as not to get overwhelmed and lose before I have even begun.

I know last year I didn't do badly with my goals at all but blogging really took a hit because my life was chaotic at some points. I had a great year overall but I really didn't have the capacity (or at least think or feel like I did) to take on everything so unfortunately it was blogging that suffered. Which was a shame & also something that made me feel terrible, not only because I feel like I have been promising you guys so much and not delivering but also because I love blogging and it's like an outlet for me when I'm stressed and upset. Just to sit here & talk to you guys!

I have been hearing alot about having a "buzz word" for the new year. I have decided I will try it this year. This year my word is going to be "stability" in all senses and meanings on the word. I need to stabilise most areas of my life and build proper routines, personal relationships, blogging, work, finances, my space, eating & health & mental health. This sounds (& feels) like alot. Even reading that back makes me feel overwhelmed but like my friend says a little a day will get you there.

As long as you have an idea of where you want to go then you can head in the right direction with decisions you make everyday.

I hope this post was helpful (I know it was a little rambly) Please let me know in the comments your thoughts on this topic!

Chat soon friends! x

Midweek Motivation || #singlebecause

Hello there my darlings,

So there was a hashtag trending a while back called #singlebecause. Many of you may have seen this or even been a part of it! This is actually a topic I was thinking about writing about anyway. I currently have a couple of friends in situations when it comes to the love life department & I also have not been so lucky myself recently (What are you going to do right?) So it kind of has been a subject that has been on the forefront of my mind.

Why do we do it to ourselves eh? We fall for our first loves, get our heart broken (majority of the time) pick ourselves back up & then try to do it all over again! Why? You would think we would learn our lesson but no, no, off we go, into the next disaster.... If you ask me we do it for many reasons. Anthropologically speaking we are programmed to do so. Our bodys have the same instinct as any other animal on this earth - to reproduce & to keep our species alive. Secondly we are a social species. We enjoy company & it fills our heart with joy to share our experiences with someone. Having someone around makes us feel safe & loved. Society has deemed it proper to have a significant other & I think we are only coming to an era where being single after a certain age is actually socially acceptable.

I find it funny that whether it is at the forefront or whether it is sub-conscious we (if single) are constantly on the look out for our next love story. This causes many complications.

First off the media has totally changed the view of relationships for people. It idealises it in movies & social media #relationshipgoals , This means people are expecting so much more perfectionism & find it harder to deal with the reality of it - which is life is messy!

Secondly - On the hunt for prince charming you are probably going to kiss many a frog - this means baggage. Lets face it, everyone's got it. Which means our view of life & relationships has slightly altered since the days of puppy love, making googly eyes across a room & passing around notes. We try not to but we all do it & we all have it. I think the best think you can do is be aware of your baggage & do the best you can to not let it destroy any new love.

Thirdly - Something I think what a lot of people forgot about is that your body & your mind look for a partner in different ways. Your body responds to hormones & pheromones, in other words who is the ideal mate to reproduce with. Your body is not monogamous, as harsh as that sounds (Dont get me wrong, respect & loyality is everything to me & would never put up with cheating) This is fact. Your brain however wants a mate who is loving, caring, shares the same interests, morals, values and intellectual standing. Your body does not care about this. I think this causes conflict within people without them even realising.

Finally - I think modern society has made the dating world harder than ever before. Reality Tv shows encourage playing the field, so to speak. They glorify sex & more often than not exclude any thoughts of love, romance & chivalry. There is also too much choice now with the globalisation of the world through travel & social media. In the old days, in our grandparents time, they didnt travel very far. They fell in love with people from their area & their marriages lasted decades! Divorce is more common now & if you ask me some people are not putting as much thought into marriage because they know they can just get divorced! I fully believe in divorce & believe it is needed but I think people are making marital decisions a bit too lightly due to its availability.

About 4 years ago (after yet another relationship fail) I made a promise to myself not to get into another relationship until I knew he was worth it, real deal, in it for the long haul. I have met many young men in this time & gotten to know them, however none them were for me or what I was looking for. It will happen, I have every faith in that but none of them were right. My life is important & therefore it is important who I spent in with & include in it (even when it comes to friends)

The main reason I wanted to talk about this is because it has really come to my attention That sometimes people really dont know their worth & are willing to put up with alot in order to be with the person they love. I think compromise is essential & if you are with someone you should be willing to go to hell and back for them. Give the relationship your all!! Otherwise what is the point but sometimes you are better off single. What I have just said only works if both parties are doing this! You need to be a team, willing to fight on the front line together, willing to take on the world & whatever life throws at you, while also enjoying everything it has to offer! Im kind of getting sick of watching people put their all into relationships while their partner takes it all for grant or does not treat them with the love & respect that they deserve.

I refuse to do this. I would rather be single. I know they love them but I think It would hurt in the beginning but they would be so much happier in the end. You only get one life!! Why spend it being miserable with someone?? I think these past 4 years have been good for me! It was never intended to be 4 years & I have no set intention on how long it will be for... my stint in singletown could end in another four years... could end tomorrow. I will tell you though I have learned alot about myself, my baggage & what I am & not willing to put up with & I think that will help create the basis for a fantastic relationship in the future #fingercrossed

Midweek Motivation || Look for the moments of wonder & happiness!

Hey there everybody!

Today I want to talk about looking for the moments of wonder in our lives. Life is stressful, end of! Unfortunately everyone deals with stress and everybody has their story. This is not necessarily a bad a thing as it makes you who you are! However whether you have been quite fortunate in life or not we all experience the daily struggles in life.

Life is not always stressful. Its not all doom & gloom. I think people need to focus on this alot more than the former. How would you know what great experiences were if you didn't experience the not so good times? I believe completely in living the best and happiest life you can. You only get one! remember that! You cannot always be in control of the cards you are dealt but you are in control of you reaction to them!

Dont let stress of daily life consume you. If you really think about it, we as race, created this world we live & have created majority of the stress of lives. We have created this lifestyle which means something always needs to be done. Life isnt meant to be this way!

Everyone is so caught up in their own lives on a day to day basis they forget to look at the bigger picture. Your live is over in the blink of an eye. Soon you will be long gone, as will your children & grandchildren. Im looking at this in perspective of how long the earth has existed. Sooner than you think the bills wont exist, the day to day struggles will have been passed on to the next generation. For me this seems bleak.

I want to pass on to them all the wondrous things this world & lifetime has to offer! Nature, people, culture, music, experiences! I want to tell my children & grandchildren of all the amazing things in the world & amazing stories, not how many bills I've paid!

I am in noway saying you should go f*!k it and through all responsibility to the side, just try to make sure to the best of your ability that the good times out weigh the stress & most importantly unnecessary stress. As an anxious person believe me when I say, sometimes this is easier said than done, but it can be done!!

When we start to think about all the things we dont have, stop! & start to think about all the things we do have! Appreciate the people in your live who enhance it. Plan fun things to do & have something to look forward to. Be open to new people, new experiences, new ideas. Spend quality time with yourself. Pursue your interests..... you only get one life!!

Sometimes I think the best way of looking at the world is through the eyes of a child. They are unaware (or should be) of how harsh and cold the world can be as an adult. They dont worry about work, bills, dating, appointments, drama, feuds, backstabbing, banking crisis, terrorists, wars, poverty or the horrible  crimes we are bombarded with on social media. They are innocent and see the world the way it was intended. Magical, fun & look upon it full of wonder.

Im not saying we should be oblivious but mark my words, try and do this more often & you will see the world in a whole new light! This planet really is beautiful and we really need to stop taking it & our lives for granted!!

Midweek Motivation || When It rains It Pours....

Heya!

Why is it everything always seems to come at once!? Bills, deadlines, random issues, personal issues, weddings or events that are going to cost you a bomb! At the moment Im dealing with a raining/pouring situation!

The reason I want to talk about this today is because, once again I am sure I am not the only one in this situation! It can get a bit over whelming & hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. However we must train ourselves to think differently about our situation for many reasons -
  1. While we are wishing for it all to be over we are also wishing our life, away without realising it. We are never going to be this age or have this time ever again!
  2. Because we become so focused on the things we have to fix (Yes they are important & do need attention) we are missing out on all the great things that are happening at the same time!! We are forgetting to appreciate people, places & the general good things happening in each of our lives.
  3. Stress is not good for anyone! & if you anything like me your anxiety will sky rocket!! This can not only take its toll on you mentally but also physically too!! (I have a knot in my back that I CANNOT get rid of!)

Here are a few tips I have for dealing with times like this

  • Dedicate a certain amount of time to go through all the problems you are currently having. Write out a list of things you need to fix, do or organise & then write down any solutions or plans of action to resolve them.
  • Apart from this time try not to think about it unless you can do something about it. Easier said than done I agree but the less you over think about it the more likely things will naturally just happen and every now & then they will actually fall in your favour!
  • If some thing seems unachievable then set small goals & before you know it that main goal you had in the beginning will suddenly be much more achievable.
  • Take down time for you. Do something that makes you happy or relaxed even if its just for half an hour! You will feel a little more refreshed and much better after it (For me one of these things is writing)
  • Try & get sleep. Your body, mind & soul repair themselves at night! When times are stressful you need all the help you can get so dont skimp on the sleep. It will help you cope with stress & important decision making & organisation skills during the day!
  • Eat well! Again easier said than done but the better the fuel the better the performance!
  • Stop comparing your life! We live in a social media world which means we all fall victim to the green eyed monster! We are especially vulnerable when things in our own lives may not be going so well. This is not at time to feel sad & jealous, this is a time to feel motivated & inspired by these people!!
  • Realise that most things in life are not life and death therefore, like everything else this will too pass and more than likely in a few months time you wont even remember this!
  • Take a moment and think about all that you do have and all that you are grateful for. If you do this I guarentee you will feel a hell of a lot better.
  • Think about your problems with a positive spin - Trust me! For example
  1. Car Problems? - I have a car
  2. Work problems? - I have a job
  3. Friend problems? - They love me really, I love them too... this will be resolved! I also learn how I really feel about them!
  4. Money Problems? - Learn how to save & find more creative ways to spend time & have fun!
  5. Did something stupid? - I leaned a valuable lesson not to be repeated!
  • It sounds harsh but majority of the time someone else has it worse off than - you try not to forget that!!
  • Finally as hard as it seems just keep swimming! Keep working your way towards whatever it is - moving slowly is 100 times better than not moving at all!!

I feel like there comes points in our life where we have to stop take a look around and go right it may take some time but I can do this!! I cant leave whatever this is get the better of me!! It can and will be fixed!! Cliche as it is life is a journey & from all our experiences both good & bad we grow!! Keep fighting, hustling, moving & swimming and soon you will feel like you are #winningatlife. Will it be easy? No but the best things in life never are & IT WILL BE WORTH IT!!!

Bye bye my lovelies!!!
Loves you all x

Midweek Motivation || Whats meant to be wont pass you by!

Hello There Everyone!!

Hands up now! Whos heard this saying before? I have, but I never really thought about it until recently. Anyone who knows me will know that I am not very religious but I am a big believer in the universe & energy.

Lately I have been feeling a bit off balance & a bit out of whack to be honest. I was beginning to doubt my decision to pack up & move my life. My anxiety has been playing up a bit & I was close to running home again!

However after taking a breather I decided to look back at all the reasons I decided to come here in the first place, look at all the things I love about the place & remember the goals I had for being down here. Funny thing is when I thought back I remembered how random it was that the opportunity even came up, how everything had fallen into place at the time for this all to happen & I remembered this saying "Whats meant to be wont pass you by!" I cant help but feel this is true. I feel like I was meant to come down here. I was meant to meet these people and discover this part of the world.

The reason I wanted to talk about this today is because I am sure that I cant be the one person in the world that is second guessing a decision that they have made or maybe feeling a bit homesick? So I thought I would share what helped me. My advice would be, first of all get a good nights sleep (It really clears the mind) Then go somewhere you feel calm (this could even be your bedroom) Then think of all the reasons you made the decision in the first place - Are all the reasons still valid?? Then think about all the benefits of the decision you have made or all the things you like about it. After you should have a much clearer view of where you think you are headed or if its time to make a new decision for your own best interest. Ive said it before & I will say it again! You only have one life!! Dont waste it being miserable! Do whats best for you & enjoy it to the max!

I hope this may have help one of you!! Please, If you have any tips yourself share them with us in the comment section below!!

Midweek Motivation || Humble in Victory & Defeat!

Hello There Everyone,

Another weekly installment of motivation for you!! This is week is once again inspired by the Irish UFC champion Conor McGregor. I have one other post previously inspired by him which you can read by clicking here - Midweek Motivation || Winners focus on Winning!

I was first introduced to Conor McGregor & the world of UFC about a year ago now & in that time I have learned at lot about him & that world. I have said it before & I will say it again I have no interest in ever joining that world.... Please I would last 2 seconds... But I find him & the way he thinks fascinating. He is determind, motivated & hard working. What he has managed to do in a year is nothing short of magical. He has managed to put both Ireland & UFC on the map. So much so I among millions of others are staying up until 5/6 am to watch the fights.

He is 27 with more motivation & business intelligence than I have seen in a while! For all his so called sh*t talking (which I admit he does well) He gets results, takes risks & backs up everything he says!

The reason I am talking about him once again is because on the 5th March we saw a different side to the ultimate fighter. In his fight at the Welter Weight division against Nate Diaz he was defeated for the first time in his UFC career. Now the fact he even took the fight in the first place was a risk. If you have any interest in the sport you will know he was originally supposed to be fight Rafael Dos Anjos for the Lightweight belt. Dos Anjos pulled out with 2 weeks notice leaving them to find a new opponent. Nate Diaz stepped up but it meant in 11 days McGregor had to up his weight to 170 pounds for the fight (which he did)

Anyway in round 2 he was defeated with a choke hold. Congrats to Diaz but this was gutting for McGregor fans such as myself. In the Post-Fight Press Conference Conor said "I am Humble in Victory & Defeat" I think this is an inspirational & important quote we could all live by.

Everyone starts somewhere & everybody is always learning. Stay humble & true to yourself at all times! Will not always win..... but you will not always lose, not if you work hard enough. Be good to those when you win & they will be good to you when you lose!

You are never too good or better than anyone! Be the best you can be, thats all you can do!

Thats my slice of motivation for you today! & as for McGregor I will always be a fan win or lose #teammcgregor #fightingirish

Midweek Motivation || You are one decision away from changing your entire life!

Hello Everyone!

How are you all today!? I hope you are all well!

Everyday we make decisions! From the minute we wake up in the morning.. "what will we have for breakfast? What will we wear today? What makeup will we wear?" All day everyday we are making decisions. Somehow though we dont even seem to realise we are making them!

We get stuck in ruts! We feel like its groundhog day everyday! We dont realise how powerful we are in our own lives! It sounds cliche but we hold the keys to our own destiny. The saying "You are one decision away from changing your entire life!" is so true & we dont even realise it!

You hate your job? change it! No one is going to do it for you! Its a sad fact of life but its true, rarely will someone come up to and be like "Hey, you look sad... Im going to change your life for you!" (On a side note - Just make sure if you do decide to quit your job you are smart about it A. have a plan, Dont just walk out on a whim. B. Make sure its is really what you want & you are not just having a bad work week)

But this doesnt just apply to jobs, you want to move? Move.. save up, get a visa.. do whatever it takes! Want a pet? Get just make sure you can take care of it & provide it with the life it deserves. Want a beach body!? get your ass to the gym! Learn how to eat right! Read books, watch Youtube Videos & work hard!!

All Im saying is if you really want something in your life to change then do it, just be smart & practical while you do it! One decision thats all it takes! You really want something? Obviously there are some major exceptions to this rule (People who have passed on, health issues & physical constraints & sometimes life circumstances) but for majority of people if you really want something 9 times out of 10 you are the only thing standing in your own way!!

Any time you feel sad or stuck in a rut remember "You are only one decision away from changing your entire of your life" All its takes is for you to be brave enough to take the leap & sometimes work hard enough to get it!

Everyone deserves a happy life & unfortunately not everyone will get it but it would be a shame if you were the only thing standing in the way of yours!!

Midweek Motivation || What are you worth!!?

Hello Friends,

Today I want to talk about self worth. What are we worth? I dont mean anything in the material sense of the word. I dont care how much you have in the bank, How much your car, home, shoes are worth. I want to know if I were to ask you right now "How much are you worth?" What would your answer be??

Everyone in this world was created equal.  It is the world then that decides how much we value we put on ourselves. From the minute we come into the world we are being influenced by it and everyone around us. The funny thing is everyone is so focused on the external we forget we are more than just the world we live in. Some of us are very fortunate in that we were born in what modern society calls "The first world" This means that for the most part, for most people, our surroundings are comfortable. For example I have the ability to write this from my bed in my comfortable house, on this laptop with internet & Charlie curled up beside me, these are all luxuries that many of us (including myself) forget we have.

However no matter how much we have, Its think we have & how much we think we are worth, that is what is important. Im not saying we should walk around and think that we are the sh*t but we should understand our value and what we bring to the world. We all have those days where we wonder would what are we actually doing with our lifes? What is our purpose? Maybe we deserve what we get? Why cant we have this or that? But really we need to take stock for a moment think of how lucky we are and how much we contribute to the world around us.

How the hell can we expect anyone to see our worth if we cant!? Now dont get me wrong there maybe alot of people that see our worth even when we are having times where we feel absolutely worthless but what Im saying is we cant get upset if they dont when we are not even respecting ourselves. Theres a quote and it says how can we expect anyone else to love us if we cant love ourselves. I think this is quite true. We are all created to contribute to this world in some way. We all offer amazing talents whether they just apply to daily life or world wide.

Also I think you meet and attract the right kind of people when you know your worth, as I think you know who you are a bit more and feel more confident. You know what you are willing to put up with and how you are willing to be treated. I think people should be treated the way they treat people (its only fair)! Unfortunately life isnt fair but if you are aware that you are worth more than the way you are being treated then you will have a much easier time walking away.

As far as Im concerned no one can put a price on your life but you!! Know your worth!! Make your life the way YOU want! Include the people that enhance your life and walk away from those that dont. Work towards your dreams & dont let anyone try to rain on them! Life is for living! Dont count the days, make the days count!!!

Excuses, Excuses, Excuses...

Hello there everybody!

Welcome back to another midweek motivation. Todays topic - Shedding excuses & becoming accountable. Why are some people more successful than others?? Why do some people get all the money, fame and glory and others dont? Many reasons -

  • Some people get lucky - great idea or in the right place at the right time.
  • Some people have the right connections
  • Some people are born into it
  • But for majority of people it is hard work, persistence and a love of what they are doing.

We can spend our whole life planning things but they will never materialize without hard work and dedication. We have all done it (including myself). Procrastination is the enemy of success! Its perfectly normal & Ok to do it every now & then but when you start to procrastinate more than work, thats when it becomes a problem! If you want something you have to be constantly working towards it however small the progression may be. You cant make excuses & be lazy, then complain why your not getting instant recognition like The Kardashians for example. Life doesnt work like that. Recently I posted my midweek motivation inspired by Irelands UFC Champ Conor McGregor (you can read this by clicking on this link Winners focus on Winning.. ) & like a said in that post he gets a lot of sh*t for "Trash talking" and to be fair he does do it & probably better than most but and the end of the day he is an undefeated world champion because he has been working towards it his entire life (he is only 27). Last year I read #GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso (You can read the review by clicking on the link here - Book Review - #GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso) & again she is another person that never quit! Once she set up her small business she worked & worked & worked until she reached the success that she is currently at - & she continues to work to this day! These people are inspiring to me because you dont hear them with excuses, they just show up with results!!

Everyone has the ability to chase the dream they are after (of course there are exceptions to this) but however small you dream may be, however big and crazy it may be... chase it.. work for it. Believe in the dream, Believe in yourself! One day you will look back with pride and think yeah it was all worth it!!

I believe in you my darlings! No more excuses... Now go chase those dreams.
Dont forget to let me know how you get on!!!

Midweek Motivation - 40 days & 40 nights!

Hello Everyone!!

So if you follow me on twitter (If you dont then why not!? Haha You can add me here - Beauty La Linda - Twitter , or you can add me in the side bar) Then you will already know that I have been thinking about doing something for lent this year.

Although I observe the high holidays such as Christmas & Easter and so on, & part-take in some religious events such as weddings, funerals & christenings, I am not particularly religious so therefore usually dont really participate in lent. However I have been thinking about it and realised that even if I am not religious it doesnt mean I cant form or lose a habit that will enhance either my life or the life or others.

I always say sometimes it doesnt matter where the idea or motivation has come from as long as the end goal is the same!!

I have decided to do my darnedest to try and be healthier for the next 40 days & 40 nights! That means lots of water and healthier eating choices & trying to get more exercise (but mainly focusing on what I put into my body)

I have really let it slide while I have been living at home the past few months. I used to be quite good.. somewhat balanced anyway in the past year or so, then I move home and it all goes down hill. I get back into my comfort zone and I stop watching what I eat (not how much or anything like that, but I am more likely to order take away then attempt to cook any of the food available) I have pretty much stopped eating fruit even though its always in the house and stopped drinking water even though I used to drink 2 litres a day. My mam is constantly on at me for being so unhealthy & I seem to use the typical teenager response "yeah, yeah, yeah" even though Im 25!

I never intended to stop trying to be healthy it all just kinda slide that way. My weight isnt really an issue which is why I guess I havent really pushed myself too much or why other people havent really noticed but I feel it in myself. I feel more tired, irritable and just generally drained. So its decided! Im going to use lent as the excuse and driving motivational factor to get healthier again!! Heres my plan!-

  • Be more conscious of the food I eat everyday
  • Drink more water
  • Try & get more sleep & Wake up earlier
  • HAVE A BREAKFAST! (I NEVER do this!... unless its brunch)
  • Get outside a little bit more (no excuses now that the days are getting longer!)

My point to this post is that if like me you have let something slide or there is something you really want to do then start now! Lent is the perfect opportunity to give yourself a challenge!!

*As I write this its is pancake day!! So the plan is massive pancake indulgence tonight and tomorrow is kick off!! Wish me luck!!

Have you made any lenten pacts this year!?
Any tips for helping me to stick to mine??

Taking Life Lessons from Animals...

Hello Friends,

Have you ever just looked at your cat curled up or your dog lying spread out on the floor and thought "What must it be like to be them?" Well I currently have my own baby Charlie curled up with me as I am writing this and that is what inspired this post. Charlie is quite content curled up not a care in the world. There are many reasons for this and we could learn a thing or two from our furry friends.

Every member of the animal kingdom (including ourselves) has a primal instinct. We are the only species that dont follow it for the majority. Animals work off what the 5 senses and gut instinct. They work off all the information they have to hand. They make sure all their basic needs are met. Once this is done all they worry about is what they want to do at that time. Animals dont judge based on race, religon, politics, sexuality, gossip, drama or any of the things that influnce human decision when meeting new people. They judge off respect. You treat them well they treat you with all the love and affection in the world. You treat them bad they have no time for you, flight or fight. They dont understand argument and logical reasoning. Actions speak louder than words. I believe in the premise "Never trust someone who doesnt like animals, but always trust the animal if they dont like the person!" This is because animals arent judging the person on their job, achievements, IQ, looks, what they say or how much money they have. Its a gut instinct of who the person is. They dont care about anything else.

What can we learn from our animal friends?

Judge on actions not words
We should only judge people for who they are. Not what they have or any outside influences. Do you think charlie cares if your a billionare? What religon you believe in? What colour you are? If you gay or straight? No (neither do I for that matter but for some people they will genuinely judge people off material possessions or things they have no control over)

Be who you are
Charlie is a cat! (although sometimes I feel like he is human) He knows he is a cat. Hes not trying to impress anyone not trying to under cut anyone. Hes just living his life the most comfortable way he knows how. If he has a problem (which is rare) with the other cats, dogs or humans in the house you will know it, he is not going bit*h about one to another.

Stop worrying about the past and getting anxious about the future
One of the amazing things about animals is that even though they remember and learn from the past they live in the moment. They dont worry about whats coming and spend their day worrying about the past they just live. This is something Im guilty of all the time, worrying and over thinking! It doesnt help and to be honest I think charlie has the right idea.

Love as much as possible
Nothing makes me happier than coming home after a long days work and Charlie is on my bed waiting for me, or like right now when Im writing and working Charlie jumping up onto my bed and curling up with me. Or when Im sad he always seems to sense and will stay right by my side! I dont know how animals do it but I think again its because they are reading you and not what you are saying. We should take a leaf out of their book and just love the people we are with and not only that SHOW them we love them! Animals have a much short life span than us but they spend their whole life (if you let them) enjoying their time and loving their families (both human and furry) They, without even knowing it, make the life they want and create it for themselves. They continue each day without looking back with regret or being afraid of the future.

If we applied as much of this to our lives as we could how much happy do you think we would be!? Living for the moment, no judgement, being completely ourselves without fear & loving the people around us. We all love our animals and they love us in their way but I really think we could learn from them.

Miweek Motivation - A time to look out for number 1!!

Hello my friends,

Today I want to talk about being selfish! Seems crazy right! I want to talk about looking after yourself and being a little selfish. The term selfish is always associated with negative connotations. Maybe selfish isnt even the right word that I should be using, but the way I mean it is ME time!

What I mean is.. we spend most of our lives worrying about other people and this is a good thing. We are all human and have the instincts to protect, love, care and nurture others. Thats the way it should be! Sometimes however we need to take a time out! Refresh and recuperate. Recharge those batteries.

I am a huge believer in taking some time for yourself! Not worrying for a while about everyone else and just worrying about what you want and what you need. Those who love you will understand and forgive you for it and your body and mind will thank you for it.

Recently I have decided to think about myself a little bit more. It really has been a long time since I just enjoyed myself. Not worried what people thought of me or what my next move was. Im queen on list making but I found I was planning so much that I had no time for things I just wanted to do making so many lists that I couldnt see past the week ahead, no future plans to look forward to. Constantly chasing my own tail and playing catch up and inevitably feeling guilty and disappointed when everything was not completed.

I have decided to think about my life a bit more.. what do I want to do? One of the things I promised myself to make happen in 2016 is to make sure that I always have something to look forward to even if it is just small. I mean I suppose its not possible to ALWAYS have something to look forward to but at least often enough. I want take some time every now and then when I just do something I WANT to do.. Just for me! Whether that be turn off my phone for a couple of hours and cut off from the world. Get my hair done! or even just go for a walk (whenever this weather decides to let up!!) I dont mean there has to be a lot of money spent or a lot of planning put into it just something that makes me feel happy & relaxed! Which I dont know about you but I find it very hard to relax & "go with the flow" I like to always know what my next move is going to be and I have the worst habbit of over thinking!!

I think this something that everyone should think about implementing in 2016.... Whats the worst that could happen eh!??
